Throughout the pandemic, our clinical leadership has remained committed to providing comprehensive treatment for mental health challenges and worked tirelessly to ensure that our staff, clients, and families felt safe and supported.

Community West uses the “COVID in Your Community – Data Tracker” on the CDC website to determine community levels and associated recommendations. We will continue to develop safety protocols and treatment programming that are reflective of these guidelines and adjust programming and health and safety procedures as necessary.

Below are some of the practices and guidelines we are currently implementing:

  • All staff onsite have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Community West will restrict non-essential visitors during regular business hours.
  • Cornerstone Plaza (1990 S. Bundy Drive) has implemented several safety measures to protect common spaces such as increased frequency of cleaning common areas and high-touch points, and updated HVAC air filtration systems that meet CDC guidelines and maximize air flow.
  • Gestures including handshakes or other forms of greeting that break physical distance should be avoided.
  • We strongly encourage clients to bring individual water bottles from home. Clients are not allowed to share water bottles under any conditions. If a client forgets their water bottle, disposable cups are placed next to water dispensers.
  • All Community West therapy rooms have HEPA air-purifiers matched to accommodate room size. The “Four Stage Filtration System” (Pre-filter, Deodorization filter, True HEPA filter, Vital Ion) captures and reduces up to 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns in the air, including pollen, pollutants and other allergens.
  • Hand sanitizer dispensers are located throughout the suite and should be used with regularity and handwashing is strongly encouraged as one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
  • Mandatory masking (as per CDC recommendations) is implemented when COVID-19 community levels reach “high” ratings. Masking is currently optional and is the most effective measure one can take to prevent COVID-19 infection.
