Emily Wood, MD


Dr. Wood is Clinical Fellow and Post-doctoral Researcher in the Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry in the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior. She completed an MD and PhD in Neuroscience at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2015 and her Adult Psychiatry Residency at UCLA-Semel in 2018. In her research, Dr. Wood utilizes functional MRI and MRS methods as part of a multimodal approach to better understand resilience to trauma in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and a history of early life adversity. Clinically, Dr. Wood specializes in working with children, adolescents and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, PTSD, OCD and Anxiety Disorders. She employs psychopharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatments and enjoys working with the multidisciplinary team at CW.
