Melissa Jacobs, PhD

Group Therapist

Melissa Jacobs, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist in private practice, who makes use of both psychoanalytic and also mentalization-based perspectives in her work with children and their families, as well as with adolescents and adults.  She received her Ph.D. from The CUNY Graduate Center in New York, and completed her clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Wright Institute Los Angeles, where she received advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Dr. Jacobs has been affiliated with the Center for Reflective Communities (CRC) for over a decade.  She serves on the CRC’s Leadership Team and is a Supervisor and Senior Trainer in the Reflective Parenting Program (RPP).
